Sustainability and ESG Remain a Key Focus for College Students

Just finished a great semester teaching/advising Impact and ESG investing, social entrepreneurship and climate tech solutions at Northeastern. Some brief notes:

·     Student awareness on campus is strong as ever in analyzing sustainable opportunities for companies, funds and their related products to avoid greenwashing, diversitywashing or impactwashing. The future is bright with the high entrepreneurial energy to work full time, do co-ops, and start companies to change the narrative!

·     The NUImpact — Northeastern University's Impact Investment Fund team is busy evaluating investments in diverse and growing impactful business and working with existing portfolio companies. Humbled to be advising such a dynamic student organization.

·     A big thank you to colleagues and guest speakers this Spring semester – Tim Dunn from Terra Alpha, Susie Lee from WK Kellogg Foundation, Chris Holcombe from Brown Advisory, and Julia Fisher from Village Capital – you are committed and inspiring leaders in the Impact and ESG space.
